Bobby Ruiz of "My Whittier" Discusses All Things Whittier
October 31 at 6:50 a.m by Denise De La Cruz

I was so honored and humbled to sit down and talk with local writer Denise De La Cruz. She is a resident of Whittier and writes for the OC WEEKLY. Having spent time in Orange County I jumped at the chance to sit down and discuss Whittier on this platform. Denise and I met up for lunch at one of my favorite spots in the city, Jack's Family Restaurant. Here is how it all went down :)

Bobby Ruiz of "My Whittier" Talks Whittier

This is my 40th year as a Whittier resident and
I wouldnt have it any other way.
Be sure to check out OC WEEKLY and read all of the the previous write ups Denise De La Cruz has inked! I have a feeling we will be seeing big things from Denise in the very near future!

A huge thank you to everyone who supports the My Whittier Brand as I said before it has been a wonderful experience. I have met and talked with so many people since the beginning of this project and it always amazes me to hear and see all of the love for the city of Whittier. Our page and products would not be possible without you Whittier.

A huge thanks with the deepest gratitude.

Stop by and meet Horror Author & Whittier Local  David James Freeman
He is a great writer and a great dude! Stop by and meet a Whittier local this Saturday at Half Off Books in Uptown Whittier.

Folkhlore , Book-II (Vol.I & II) Prurple, Black, & Silver are David's fourth, and fifth books in only a matter of five years- Folkhlore being the continuing chronicles of the Vanpyre Yorris Folkhe, his Creator, those he created, those created by others that were forced upon him, and his existence. David does make sure to seperate himself from the Vampyre genre by publishing stand-alone works in-between the Folkhlore novels-such as his firt book 37 planes, and the widely praised Forensic Black. The original Folkhlore novel Death, then Life will be re-issued by the end of 2016, or the begining of 2017 ...All of David's novels are available via Paperback, and Kindle formats ... ...David lives happily in Southern California with his wife Alice, and his beloved Pitbull, Soli Boy- although their lives have not been the same after the loss of their first Pitbull, Wally Gator, in the fall of 2015 - for which this book is dedicated. David continues to draw inspiration from daily life, past and present experience, and whater may jolt him awake in the middle of the night ....

Super great dude I am so happy for him.
